North Georgia Talent Search

The Woman's Enrichment Center is excited to announce our Fall Fundraiser. On September 21, 2019 we will be hosting a talent search at THE MAC. Steven Phillips of the Morning Dish at WJUL 97.7 will be serving as our Master of Ceremonies. Guest judges include Lee Knight (Union Co Tax Commissioner) and Kimberly Miller (Chamber of Commerce and UNG Dahlonega).
We are inviting the public to submit auditions. Auditions may be submitted to wecnorthgatalentsearch@gmail.com or dropped off at the Center. There is a $10 entry fee for each submission. A cash prize will be awarded for first ($500), second ($250) and third ($100) place winners. Deadline for audition submissions is August 15, 2019.

Please include with your audition a name and number by which we may contact you. Upon receipt of the $10 entry fee auditions will be reviewed and a limited numbered will be selected to perform on that evening.

Acts will be notified by September 3rd as to whether or not they have been chosen to perform.

Cherokee Heritage Festival

Paws-A-Palooza

Andrews Veterinary Clinic will be hosting the Paws-a-Palooza event for Valley River Humane Society at Heritage Park, 1575 Main Street, Andrews, NC, on Saturday, September 28th, from 11am to 4pm. There will be concessions, raffles, auction, & bounce house. VRHS dog adoption fees will be reduced to $45 which includes spay/neuter, micro-chip, vaccines, leash & harness, & lots of love.

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall

Welcome to The Traveling Wall Oct 3rd-7th. 
Our Wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC, it stands six feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end.
This Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.

Take Flight with James and the crew at The Aviator Café at their new location in the brand new Sears Shopping Center in Blairsville!
